The Revel Commercial Affiliate Program: Scale Your Solar Pipeline in California

The shift is happening. Across California, top-tier residential solar sales professionals and installation teams are looking to break into the commercial and industrial (C&I) space.

It makes perfect sense. With California’s electricity rates skyrocketing and far outpacing even the most aggressive conservative estimates we made just five years ago, commercial solar isn’t just a “green” initiative anymore; it is a critical financial survival strategy for businesses.

But here is the hard truth: Commercial solar is not just a bigger residential project. The fast-pitch, “max out the roof” sales tactics that worked in residential solar simply do not survive in the commercial sector. Selling to a business requires bespoke facility engineering, navigating the unique requirements of California’s 500+ separate AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), and a deep understanding of corporate tax appetite.

If you have a commercial lead but lack the heavy-hitting EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) backend to properly design, permit, and build it, that deal is going to die on the vine.

That is where the Revel Commercial Affiliate Program comes in.

We Are Your Commercial Back-Office

Revel Energy has successfully designed, permitted, and installed over 50 complex commercial projects across California. We built this affiliate program to be the bridge for solar professionals who want to bring real, high-quality commercial solutions to their clients without having to build an entire EPC infrastructure from scratch.

When you partner with Revel, you aren’t just passing off a lead; you are leveraging our engineers, our project managers, and our construction expertise to get your deals over the finish line.

What We Build

Every business has unique facility constraints and energy profiles. We design bespoke systems that actually solve their problems, including:

  • Commercial Rooftop Solar: Engineered to protect roof warranties and maximize long-term output.
  • Solar Canopies & Truckports: Custom-engineered parking lot structures, reinforced for industrial traffic, trenching, and complex structural requirements.
  • Commercial Energy Storage: Battery systems designed specifically to shave peak Demand Charges and mitigate Critical Peak Pricing (CPP) events – often the most painful part of a California commercial utility bill.

The Urgency: The July ITC “Safe Harbor” Deadline

If you have a commercial lead on your desk right now, time is not on your side.

The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) is often the financial linchpin that brings business owners to the table. However, to lock in the current ITC benefits for this year, projects must be strategically Safe Harbored before the July 4 deadline – which is rapidly approaching.

Understanding the Commercial ITC: Many reps aren’t fully aware of how lucrative the commercial ITC has become under recent legislation. If a business has the tax appetite, they can leverage:

  • The Base Credit
  • + 10% Energy Communities Bonus (Location dependent)
  • + 10% Domestic Content Bonus (Product dependent)

Properly structured, a commercial client could be looking at a tax credit of up to 50%, which can be utilized in year one or spread across multiple years. But capturing these bonuses requires meticulous procurement and engineering, and the clock is ticking to Safe Harbor these projects.

How the Affiliate Program Works

We value your time, and we fiercely protect our own standards. We don’t make you jump through hoops to see if we can work together.

  1. The Blind Submission Submit your lead through our dedicated Affiliate Portal. All we need to start are two pieces of information: the Property Address and the Monthly Electricity Spend.
  2. The Revel Review Our internal team will run an immediate feasibility check against our portfolio standards. If it’s not a fit for our scope, we will let you know quickly so you can pivot. If it is a fit, you become an official Affiliate for that project.
  3. Protection & Partnership Once qualified, we execute a Non-Disclosure, Non-Circumvent (NDNC) agreement. Your lead is your lead. We protect your relationship with the client.
  4. Co-Design & The Pitch We go to work. Revel will design the bespoke system to our exacting standards. When it’s ready, we co-present the solution alongside you to the potential customer, bringing the full weight of Revel’s commercial experience to help you close the deal.

Stop Leaving Commercial Deals on the Table

You have the relationships. We have the engineering, the experience, and the installation infrastructure. Let’s get these projects Safe Harbored before the July deadline.
